Youth-Led Action! Grant

The Youth-Led Action Grant Program seeks to uplift and empower youth to shine! It is a Detroit resident-driven grant program focused on encouraging youth ideas and supporting youth to bring their ideas to life. Groups comprised of youth and their adult champions and advocates are invited to apply for grants of $200-$7,500 for projects envisioned and designed by young people ages 10-24.

We believe that young leaders have valuable ideas to contribute to the city of Detroit and the world. The aim of the Youth-Led Action Grant is to support youth in actualizing their ideas and focus on what is possible. Through this, youth in Detroit will gain essential leadership, project management, collaboration, and other skills and abilities, and enhance their knowledge and interests. We expect the results to be extraordinary.

What About Us?

On the corner of Belvidere Street on the east side of Detroit stands a homemade sign in blues and reds that reads: ‘Where Families Matter.’ The sign marks a two-story house that is community hub to Community Connections Grantee, What About Us?
